Signs of Spring

The usual signs of spring are pretty boring to us, who needs buds on the trees, green grass and tulips to tell them that spring has sprung? No no no, that's no fun. We have spiders and webs everywhere (already! I know!), sand on every floor, the house smells like wet dog, excess laundry (toddlers + dirt+ sand = daily laundry!) and the most gorgeous sunrises. I'm sure there are lots of things that are "the best part" of living where we do but today it's the sunrises.

Last night Dylan got completely soaked playing down by the water. I don't see the appeal, the water is so cold his skin turns red. Bright red! He runs in, chuckles, runs out and repeats. It was really funny to let him do this, he started with just a toe and then his whole foot and eventually he let his legs get soaked, which was followed by me screaming "that's far enough Dylan, that's far enough!". By the time we were done and ready to head inside for supper his legs and arms from shoulder to finger were soaked.
